The Bourne Ultimatum

Feature: 4 STARS Extras: 2 1/2 STARS

(Universal, $29.98)

Somehow the third chapter in the “Bourne” franchise manages to be even more riveting than the first two, perhaps because we finally get a real glimpse at the super-agent’s past. Still, impeccable chase scenes are the main draw, especially one of Bourne (Matt Damon) eluding pursuers through Waterloo Station and London. The extras are decent but predictable: a commentary track from director Paul Greengrass and some interesting but inessential dissections of fight scenes and the NYC car chase. “Ultimatum” is also available in a trilogy set with the two earlier films for $49.98. High School Musical 2 (Extended Edition)

(Disney, $29.99)

A DVD sure to find its way into millions of teenage stockings, “HSM2” offers a previously unseen musicial number, footage from rehearsals and a karaoke version of the film.

Interview

(Sony, $24.96)

As director and co-star, Steve Buscemi adapts a 2003 film by slain Dutch director Theo Van Gogh in which he plays a former war correspondent assigned to interview a starlet (Sienna Miller). It’s small, but worth seeking out.

Big Love: Season 2

(HBO, $59.99)

HBO’s bigamist drama gets deeper into the inter-clan intrigue as paterfamilias Roman barely survives an assassination attempt and Bill flirts with the idea of a fourth wife.
