EIGHT is the luckiest num ber for Clay Aiken.

His first child, a son, was born yesterday at 8:08 a.m., on the eighth day of the eighth month of 2008, Aiken wrote on his blog.

“Wow,” he wrote. “The little man is healthy, happy and as loud as his daddy,” Aiken said.

“Mama Jaymes is doing quite well, also.”

Aiken’s friend, Jaymes Foster, gave birth to 6-pound, 2-ounce Parker Foster Aiken in a hospital in Raleigh, NC.
