Veteran Ch. 4 anchor Sue Simmons will sign off from the station on June 15.
Simmons, who’s been with Ch. 4 for 32 years, will anchor her final 11 p.m. newscast with Chuck Scarborough that night, according to a report in mediabistro.com.
Simmons, one of the highest-paid local anchors in the country, was cut loose earlier this year when Ch. 4 chose not to renew her contract.
She’s had several on-air gaffes in the past few years, including screaming at Scarborough while dropping the f-bomb.
In late April — not realizing she was on the air with a “hot mike” — she talked about a ball hitting her in her chest.
Simmons also anchored Ch. 4’s afternoon interview show, “Live at Five,” for many years.
