THE fourth annual Tribeca Film Festival will open April 19 with the world premiere of the thriller “The Interpreter,” starring Nicole Kidman – at a theater in Midtown.

The festival, created by Robert De Niro and his producing partner, Jane Rosenthal, to help downtown businesses following 9/11, is moving uptown for one night to present Sydney Pollack’s film, which also stars Sean Penn.

The festival, which runs through May 1 at locations throughout downtown Manhattan, will offer 60 world premieres, including the remake of the thriller “House of Wax,” with Paris Hilton in a supporting role.

Other premieres include Danny Leiner’s drama “The Great New Wonderful,” with Maggie Gyllenhaal and Edie Falco; and Griffin Dunne’s drama “Fierce People,” with Diane Lane and Donald Sutherland.
