The President-elect has given “60 Minutes” a huge victory.

Barack Obama’s sit-down interview with Steve Kroft on last night’s “60 Minutes” nailed the show its best overnight ratings in nearly 10 years.

Obama, joined by his wife, future First Lady Michelle Obama, helped the show snare a 17.4 rating in the metered markets–its best showing since a Jan. 17, 1999 show featuring a segment on the high incidence of domestic violence among military personnel.

When final numbers are released tomorrow, it’s almost a lock that “60 Minutes” will be the week’s top show for the second consecutive week.
