Oprah Winfrey has put the kibosh on today’s show–which would have focused on the 10th anniversary of the Columbine High School tragedy.

“I decided to pull the Columbine show today,” Winfrey wrote on her Facebook page.

“After reviewing it, I thought it focused too much on the killers.”

Instead, Winfrey said “Oprah” would feature an episode about a mother released from prison.

“Today, hold a thought for the Columbine community,” she wrote. “This is a hard day for them.”

She signed her message, “Oprah.”

The show featured Dave Cullen–author of the just-published book, “Columbine”–FBI Special Agent Dwayne Fuselier and Kate Battan, lead investigator of the Columbine Task Force.

On April 20, 1999, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, students at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colo., stormed their school and opened fire, killing 12 students and a teacher before killing themselves.
