OPRAH Winfrey has adopted a new cocker spaniel puppy – to replace Sophie, her beloved 13-year-old spaniel who died last year.

The puppy, a female, came from a local Chicago animal shelter, according to reports.

No name yet.

The talk show host was quite public about her grief over the loss of Sophie last March, even dedicating a show to her.

The new pup joins three other dogs in the Winfrey household, a male spaniel and two golden retrievers.
