ABSTRACT:
‘The Other Sister” begs the question: Which is worse, having a daughter who’s gay or one who’s 24 years old with an IQ of 50? Following this romantic comedy’s logic, the answer is the gay daughter, since she deprives her mother the pleasure of planning a white wedding.
In the patently absurd “Sister”, being mentally challenged is no handicap. It’s like being Italian or Jewish or any other ethnicity that talks with its hands and argues in pulbic.
