The seemingly superhuman US Olympic swimmer–who’s already shattered world records in corralling seven gold medals–is having an effect on NBC.

The network is thinking of airing Phelps’ quest for an eighth gold medal this Saturday live–across all time zones, rather than airing it on tape-delay on the West Coast, according to tvnewser.com.

The network is expected to make a final decision tomorrow night.
