REALITY TV has been very kind to “American Idol” creator Simon Fuller. Between “Idol” and its predecessor, Britain’s “Pop Idol,” Fuller (who also invented The Spice Girls) has earned about $45 million since last year, according to London’s Sunday Times.
In contrast, Will Young, the UK singer who won “Pop Idol” last year, has only taken home about $750,000 from his reality TV experience, which was supposed to turn him into a multi-millionaire.
Simon Cowell, the British judge who appears on both versions, made about $4.5 million.
