SATURDAY’S battle of the sexes at the Preakness Stakes was a ratings winner.

Nearly 11 million people watched the race, won by the super-filly Rachel Alexandra.

It was the biggest audience for the Preakness in five years when Smarty Jones — the unbeaten horse from Philadelphia — won and the second largest in 20 years.

The Preakness had not been won by filly in 85 years.
