‘American Idol” is launching an online version of the popular talent show as an Internet radio station.

The station will be called “American Idol Underground” and will be a place where contestants can upload their music to the service for a $50 entry fee.

Once uploaded, each track will receive a minimum of 200 spins and listeners will vote on their favorites.

However, there will be no direct link to the TV show. Winners won’t be guaranteed a record deal.
