Here are some other notable Reagan films showing on TCM:

Dark Victory” (1939) – Reagan as an ascot-wearing playboy who tries to romance dying socialite Bette Davis. Humphrey Bogart turns up as an Irish stable hand. (March 18)

Santa Fe Trail” (1940) – Errol Flynn stars in this rousing but historically dubious epic with Reagan as George Armstrong Custer and Raymond Massey as John Brown. (March 25).

Juke Girl” (1941) – In his first teaming with Ann Sheridan, Reagan is cast as migrant farm worker who turns activist to battle abusive owners. (Tuesday)

Million Dollar Baby” (1941) – No relation to the Oscar-winner. Fluffy comedy with Reagan as a socialist composer whose girlfriend (Priscilla Lane) inherits a bundle. (March 19)

That Hagen Girl” (1947) – Reagan desperately tried to get out of making this ludicrous soap opera where he plays an attorney who may or may not be illegitimate Shirley Temple’s father. Fred DeCordova (of “Tonight Show” fame) directs. (Wednesday).

Stallion Road” (1947) – In a role originally intended for Humphrey Bogart, veterinarian Reagan competes with Zachary Scott for the hand of lovely Alexis Smith. (March 11).

Girls on Probation” (1938) – Lawyer Reagan tries to keep shoplifter Jane Bryan from falling into a life of crime. (Thursday).

Desperate Journey” (1942) Flynn and Reagan as American pilots stranded in World War II Germany. (March 26). -L.L.
