Regis Philbin and his new hip are returning Monday.

The longtime talk show host hasn’t been seen on “Live! With Regis and Kelly” since the beginning of December when he announced he would undergo hip replacement surgery almost immediately.

Regis, 78, has been complaining for some years of chronic hip pain after falling from a podium over the summer during a taping of “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.”

He underwent surgery on Dec. 1, which was ultimately successful. Regis also had bypass surgery two years ago in 2007.

His co-host, Kelly Ripa, has been working with guest hosts during his absence.
