SUNDAY’S epic Wimble don finale scored good numbers for NBC.

Roger Federer’s five-set victory over Andy Roddick averaged a 4.2 overnight rating.

That was off 9 percent from last year’s thriller, in which Rafael Nadal defeated Federer — but was way up from 2004 and 2005, when Federer and Roddick battled each other for the title.

Sunday’s finale also scored big numbers in New York, which finished second in the metered markets behind West Palm Beach, Fla.
