ROSIE has snubbed Oprah and Diane Sawyer for the friendly confines of Martha Stewart’s morning show.

Hot on the heels of multiple book signings, Rosie O’Donnell will appear today on “The Martha Stewart Show.”

“Frankly, I’m unemployed, Martha Stewart,” says O’Donnell, and that is the closest the softball interview gets to dealing with anything remotely controversial – including Rosie’s time on “The View” or her new book, “Celebrity Detox,” in which she blasts her old boss, Barbara Walters.

It is her first major TV appearance since leaving “The View” last spring. She has, over the last few months, turned down several offers to appear on talk shows and other TV programs which would have forced O’Donnell to talk about her book.

On the “Martha” show, which was pre-taped on Monday, Rosie is dressed in a Queen Elizabeth Halloween costume and dishes with the daytime doyenne about stealing trick or treat candy from her kids and global warming.

“For a mother of four, from Halloween to Thanksgiving, it is a living hell in my home,” Rosie says.

“Everybody’s bouncing off the wall?” Stewart asks.

“No – mommy is in bed; trying to sleep thinking: there’s an Almond Joy one flight down.”
