HAS the glitzy Russian Tea Room already lost its luster? Complaints of rude staffers, slow service and inconsistent dishes are starting to take their toll.
According to recent diners, the rotating 15-foot acrylic bear in the second-floor dining room has been dancing alone lately.
To give the place a prosperous look, the staff has resorted to closing all but the ground floor on some nights and during most days.
Adding to the despair is the recent exodus of general manager Bradley Reynolds, now at Fireman’s of Brooklyn, and the months-long absence of ailing owner Warner LeRoy.
A spokesperson for the RTR denies there is a drop in nighttime attendence, but concedes the lunch business could be better.
DISH OF THE WEEK: Erin go bragh! The thick, charcoal-grilled double-cut porkchop served with cabbage, bacon and garlic mashed potatoes at Tir Na Nog.
