L.A. entertainment reporter/anchor Lauren Sanchez will host Fox’s “So You Think You Can Dance,” which kicks off next month.

“Dance,” an “American Idol“-type show, will search the country for the nation’s best dancer – and, like “Idol,” will also feature clips of the country’s worst dancers.

The show, created by “Idol” makers Simon Fuller and Nigel Lythgoe, is scheduled to premiere July 20 (8-10 p.m./Ch. 5).

Sanchez, an entertainment reporter for KTTV and news anchor at KCOP, has a role in the upcoming movie “Fantastic Four,” starring Jessica Alba and Chris Evans.

She’s also worked at Fox Sports Network and “Extra.”
