The mother of “Today” show anchor Savannah Guthrie has been reported missing in Arizona under “concerning circumstances,” authorities said Sunday.
Nancy Guthrie, 84, was last seen at her home in Catalina Foothills, north of Tucson, at around 9:30 p.m. Saturday, the Pima County Sheriff’s Office said.
The elder Guthrie was described as being in “not of good physical health” and a “vulnerable adult.”

Nancy Guthrie was last seen at her house in the Catalina Foothills area near Tucson, Ariz. on Saturday night. Rebecca Noble for NY PostA relative made a 911 call around noon Saturday to report her missing, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said at a press conference.
The missing octogenarian was later identified as the mother of Savannah Guthrie, co-anchor of NBC’s “Today” show since 2012, ABC15 Arizona reported.
Officials described the case as a “search and rescue mission.”
Homicide detectives were also scouring the elderly woman’s home, which was not standard protocol for a missing person case, authorities said.

Guthrie was not known to have illnesses such as dementia or Alzheimer’s and was of “good sound mind” — but officials were concerned about her being out in the cold, the sheriff said.
“She has some physical ailments that limit her ability to move around,” Nanos said.
Savannah Guthrie has not publicly commented on her mother’s disappearance.
