FORMER “Magnum, P.I.” star Tom Selleck is returning to series television with a starring role on NBC’s “Las Vegas.”

Selleck will replace James Caan next fall. Caan, who’s leaving the show to focus on his movie career, will return for one episode next season.

Selleck will play a “charismatic, self-made billionaire who is surrounded by an air of mystery” when he becomes the new owner of the Montecito Resort & Casino, according to NBC.
