THIS year’s St. Louis-Detroit matchup was the lowest-rated World Series in TV history.
The Cardinals’ five-game triumph over the Tigers averaged 15.8 million viewers, significantly down from 17.2 million viewers last year.
Last Friday’s finale, in which the Cardinals snared their first World Series trophy since 1982, averaged only 16.3 million viewers, according to Nielsen.
