STANDING STILL [*] (One star)

AN attractive cast plays a group of sex-obsessed former college pals and lovers gathered for a wedding in Matthew Cole Weiss’ relentlessly shallow “Standing Still.” It’s basically “The Big Chill” lite – very lite.

Elise (Oscar nominee Amy Adams of “Junebug”) is ready to tie the knot with Michael (Adam Garcia), but their relationship is threatened by the arrival of her sexy lesbian ex-roomate and lover (Lauren German).

The setting is Hollywood, and the guests include an action star (James Van Der Beek) and the director (Roger Avery, the real-life director of “Rules of Attraction”) who wants to put him in a metaphysical western.

Colin Hanks does a nude scene – and shows off his comic chops – as an agent who unwittingly beds Elise’s 17-year-old sister.

Rounding out this shallow bunch of twentysomethings is Michael’s best friend (Aaron Sanford), who can’t commit to his girlfriend (Melissa Sagemiller), as well as a sarcastic blonde (Mena Suvari) and the sweet dimwit (Jon Abrahams) obsessed with her.

There are bachelor and bachelorette parties, as well as much misbehavior, in this glossy and unconvincing little flick, receiving a vanity booking on the way to video.

Running time: 86 minutes. Rated R (sex, nudity, profanity, drugs). At the Empire, W. 42nd St. and Eighth Ave.
