Shannon Elizabeth is enjoying her slice of success in “American Pie,” in which she stars as a Czechoslovakian sexpot. The 22-year-old Texas native was discovered by a producer who saw her in a local band’s music video and suggested she scope out modeling agencies in New York. Sure enough, a few years later, she was traveling and posing around the world. When she returned to the United States, Elizabeth signed with the Ford Modeling Agency and was immediately cast in a Taco Bell commercial. The 5-foot-9, busty bombshell has since starred in “Dish Dogs,” with Sean Astin and “Seamless,” opposite Kentaro Seagal. And she can be seen – in her entirety – in a 10-page spread in this month’s Playboy. She also recently signed a three-picture deal with Miramax. The first flick is a spoof called “Scream If You Know What I Did Last Halloween,” co-starring Keenan Ivory Wayans.-
Q: What do you do to relax?
A: I enjoy playing with my dogs, watching TV and just hanging out at home. I am definitely what you would call a homebody. On special occasions I love massages
.Q: What can’t you live without?
A: My Kiehl’s lip balm.
Q: What’s your workout routine?
A: I like to get to the gym a few times a week. I combine it with hiking in the hills with my dogs, Rollerblading, yoga and housework. Housework seems to burn the most calories.
Q: How do you take care of yourself?
A: I shower and shave everyday. I always put lotion on all over after I shower. I think it’s important to take care of your skin while you’re young so that it always stays that way. Oh, and don’t forget – keep your face out of the sun. Big no-no.
Q: What are some of your favorite things?
A: I have a little circus dog named Six Buttons. She’s like a little angel that follows me everywhere – I love her to death. I also love sweets and pastries.
Q: Favorite clothes?
A: Boxers and flip-flops.
Q: Favorite food?
A: I eat pretty healthy. And I love to find places that have my favorite fattening foods in a healthy version like chocolate, Cookies n’ Cream ice cream, pizza and pastries.
Q: Do you follow a special diet?
A: I try to eat only foods that have no refined sugar, oil, butter, cream or heavy carbs . . . and, I’m told, no taste.
Q: Describe your personal style.
A: I like to wear colorful little sun dresses, jeans, tennis shoes and tank tops.
Q: What gives you substance?
A: My boyfriend, my dogs, my house, meditation, quiet time and family.
Q: If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?
A: My temper. I tend to have a short fuse when I’m stressed or really hungry.
Q: What do you wear when relaxing?A: I like wearing men’s boxers, T-shirts and flip-flops – I’m such a tomboy.
Q: What do you wear for a big night out?
A: It depends on where I’m going. But I don’t feel that going out always has to be turned into a big deal.
Q: Do you have any special health tips?A: If I’m starting to feel run down, but am not sick yet, I’ll take lots of echinacea and goldenseal. If I see that I’m bruising easily, I’ll take Arnica Montana.
Q: What do you use to accessorize?
A: Butterfly clips in my hair, a simple necklace, a toe-ring and a thumb-ring that I almost never take off.
Q: Whose style do you most admire?
A: I really don’t look at people’s “style.” I try to look at the person inside the clothes.

Q: Some would say I have too few . . .
A: To be honest, nothing. I’m blessed right now to have everything I need.
Q: What aspect of your appearance do your friends tease you about?
A: Sometimes people make fun of how bright my clothes are – like I blind them or something.
Q: What was your most embarrassing fashion moment?
A: I was on a class trip to a water park. I came out of the water and realized that my top had spun around and a boob was hanging out. I was so embarrassed.
Q: What would you love to own but would never buy for yourself?
A: An engagement ring . . . someday.
Q: If you had more free time, what would you do with it?
A: Meditate, read, take my dogs to the park, learn more about my computer and take acting classes.
Q: What tricks have you learned over the years from makeup artists?
A: Less is more. Actually, I never wear makeup, unless it’s put on me for work. Also, if you want to immediately tighten the skin around your eyes, you can put Preparation-H under them. Nasty, huh? I also used to use Milk of Magnesia as a mask to soften the skin.
Q: What don’t you ever leave home without?
A: A smile.
