WE asked Barneys creative director Simon Doonan to give us his top five sale survival tips:

1 Do not wear false eyelashes. They will get dislodged during your trying-on frenzy. (This applies to men, too.)

2 Make a list before you come. Note the yawning voids in your closet and attempt to fill them in a

systematic way.

3 Stuff a bottle of Vitamin Water in your purse.

Dehydration will affect your judgment and cause you to buy stuff that is totally not you!

4 Minimize the competition. Either come alone or bring your gay best friend. Only bring your girlfriend if she is a totally different size from you, i.e. much larger!

5 The shoe tip: Be a classy, hygienic broad and bring your very own little try-on socklettes with you.
