SIMULTANEOUS SINK OR SWIM
SYNCHRONIZED swimming in a public fountain? Well, inasmuch as one can “swim” in knee-deep water. Check it out for yourself in the Bowling Green Public Park, at lunchtime all week long. A one-hour satirical performance from choreographer Monica Bill Barnes features 10 dancers as an over-the-top backup band prepping the crowd for a headliner who never shows. It’s part of the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council’s “Sitelines” series, which is producing live public performances all over the city this summer.
12:30-1:30 p.m., Monday-Friday at Bowling Green Public Park, Broadway and Beaver streets. Free.
