GRAB that handrail – you’re in for a rocky ride.

The Empire State Building’s new New York Skyride is a 22-minute “I Love New York” commercial disguised as a big-screen extravaganza.

The 2003 edition features the voice of Kevin Bacon as he presumably pilots a chopper over Central Park, Broadway and the rest of the city’s hot spots.

No cliché is left unturned (“Foot loose, Bacon?” the narrator asks) as the theater seats tilt and it seems as if you’re flying above, and occasionally under, the city.

There’s a brief mention of Harlem but no view of it as the chopper noses down over Yankee Stadium – though the Twin Towers stand tall again as a tribute.

And then there’s the Brooklyn Bridge, which we’re told plays a big part in “Saturday Night Fever.” Yo, Travolta – tell ’em it’s the Verrazano!

After all that shakin’ along with Bacon, some may find themselves the same shade of green as the Statue of Liberty.

The N.Y. Skyride, on the second floor of the Empire State Building, plays every 15 minutes between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. Admission is $13.50 adults, $10.50 kids ages 4 to 12.
