‘CSI” will have a new cast member next season.
Canadian actress Lauren Lee Smith, who appeared on Showtime’s “The L-Word,” will join the veteran CBS drama as Bryce Adams, “a smart, flirtatious, and witty non conformist who entered law enforcement to rebel against her judgmental psychiatrist father,” according to CBS.
Smith replaces Jorja Fox, who played Sara Sidle since the show’s premiere and had an ongoing relationship with “CSI” chief Gil Grissom (William Petersen).
Smith, who played a chef for three seasons on “The L-Word,” also co-starred on the big screen in “The Last Kiss” and “Pathology.”
She’ll be seen in the upcoming horror movie “Trick ‘r Treat.”
