A “Saturday Night Live” sketch for the ages.

Ego Nwodim joined Colin Jost and Michael Che at the “Weekend Update” desk on the sketch comedy show this weekend and led a skit that went completely off the rails.

Nwodim, 37, talked about the White House’s decision to not have a comedian perform at the Correspondents’ Dinner later this month, pitching herself for the job anyway by taking on a stand-up comedian persona she named “Miss Eggy.”

As Miss Eggy, a woman in her 50s with five children, Nwodim paced back and forth on the stage with a purse in one hand and a microphone in the other, making jokes she would’ve said at the White House event.

At one point, the comedian yelled out, “Miss Eggy don’t what?” and held the mike out to the audience at Studio 8H, who replied, “Play!”

Nwodim was thrown off by the audience response. “How y’all know? Y’all wasn’t supposed to know that,” she said.

Miss Eggy continued her act with another callout to the audience. “Cause these men ain’t what?” she asked. The crowd answered, “S–t!”

Nwodim, Jost and Che were all shocked by the audience yelling the expletive.

“We finna get fired for that!” Nwodim said while breaking character, as Jost, 42, and Che, 41, burst into laughter at their desks in the background.

“Y’all gonna have to pay for that. Lorne [Michaels] gonna be mad at y’all!” Nwodim added as she pointed at the audience.

To wrap up her set, Miss Eggy said, “In conclusion, thank you, White House, for having a bitch.”

“That’s your ending? Oh my God!” Jost said to his co-star.

For one last time, Nwodim yelled to the audience, “Miss Eggy don’t what?” and they responded, “Play!”

“There it is!” Nowdim said, wrapping her appearance.

According to Deadline, the swearing aired on the live Peacock telecast but was caught in time on the NBC broadcast, which has a five-second delay. The network muted the expletive from videos on its social media pages, including X and YouTube.

It’s unclear if the Federal Communications Commission will take action against “SNL” for the incident.

Fans of the show reacted to the audience swearing on social media.

“she forgot its a saturday night LIVE for a second,” one fan wrote on X.

“I mean, how else were they meant to fill that sentence?? lmao my brain also said s–t,” someone else said.

Another viewer posted, “Genuinely don’t know what else she wanted them to say.”

Jack Black hosted the episode, while Elton John and Brandi Carlile served as the musical guests.
