NBC news anchor Brian Williams will anchor an other NBC show, “Saturday Night Live,” next month.

The comedy show made the surprise announcement at the end of its show this weekend.

Williams did a well-received cameo appearance on the first “SNL” show of the 2006 season – trying out for Tina Fey’s seat on “Weekend Update.”
