‘SNL” is borrowing that old saw from mom: “These are perfectly good leftovers!”

Stuck without a new show because of the writers’ strike, the comedy show is chopping up old shows and presenting them as familiar-but-new episodes.

This week’s show is called “Saturday Night Live Family Thanksgiving Leftovers.”

As you might have guessed, it will feature Turkey Day-themed sketches from the show’s past – including Paul Simon delivering a 1976 monologue dressed in a turkey suit.
