What about Bob?

With all eyes focused on Katie Couric (will she or won’t she jump to CBS?) and ABC’s revamped “World News Tonight,” the “CBS Evening News with Bob Schieffer” has quietly been mak ing some viewership inroads. Not only is the news cast up (in viewers) in eight of the last 11 weeks (and six of the last seven weeks), but its viewership jumped to 7.98 million last week – up 270,000 viewers from the week before. Season-to-date, Bob Schieffer’s newscast has increased total viewers by 190,000.

And Schieffer’s former CBS colleague, Fred Graham, who’s been with Court TV since 1991, will chair that net work’s editorial board begin ning Jan. 1. He’ll be based in D.C. and will continue re porting for Court TV News.

Ratings: Part One of SCI FI’s original miniseries, “The Triangle,” averaged 4.3 mil lion viewers (9-11 p.m.) Mon day – the network’s highest- rated telecast since 2003 and its most-watched miniseries premiere since “Steven Spiel berg Presents Taken” in 2002. Sam Neill, Eric Stoltz and Catherine Bell co-star; the miniseries wraps tonight.

Lifetime’s “Recipe for a Perfect Christmas” became the network’s most- watched December original movie (that’s a niche qualifier, but whatever) since 1997, averag ing 3.3 million viewers. It also tied the aformentioned “The Triangle” (women 18-49).

Last, but not least:

* Q tip: Jeff Spurgeon, from classical music station WQXR, visits Q104’s Jim Kerr Friday (7:45 a.m.) to spin some Puccini as done by the East Village Opera Com pany. Kerr and Spurgeon worked together on Mix 105 in the mid-’80s.

* “Geraldo At Large” moves to 6:30 p.m. (Ch. 5) be ginning Monday.

* The second installment of “Beauty and the Geek” premieres Jan. 12 on The WB.

* Congrats to “Today” show senior producer Don Nash and wife Gaylen on the arrival of Alice Margaret.
