STARR REPORT
It’s officially official
“The Tony Danza Show” has been officially renewed for a second season, after several weeks of station-by- station renewals and an up grade from Siberia to daytime on new L.A. station KCBS/ KCAL (next season).
“This is the greatest job I’ve ever had and the fact that I get to keep doing it is a dream come true,” says Danza, who learned last week that he’ll become a first-time grandfather. “Danza” airs 10 a.m. on Ch. 7.

Fans of Fox’s “24” might have been wondering about the ori gin of the PSA read by series star Kiefer Sutherland dur ing the show’s first commer cial break Monday night.
“24” has been criticized by several Muslim groups this season for its portrayal of the Araz family and their terror ist cell.
“While terrorism is obviously one of the most critical challenges facing our nation and the world, it’s important to recognize that the Ameri can Muslim community stands firmly beside their fel low Americans in denouncing and resisting all forms of ter rorism,” Sutherland said. “So when watching ’24,’ please bear that in mind.”
A Fox spokesman said Su therland’s PSA was a “creative decision” made by the show’s producers and fully supported by the network.
“24” continues to kick some serious derriere in the ratings department – snaring 11 mil lion viewers Monday.
Last, but not least:
* Reno Wilson (“The Hoop Life”) has been cast in Steven Bochco’s “Blind Jus tice,” premiering March 8 on ABC. He’ll portray NYPD Det. Tom Selway. Ron Eld ard, Marisol Nichols and Rena Sofer star.
* On tomorrow’s “Larry Elder Show” (9 a.m./Ch. 2): A couple who survived the tsunami while in Thailand – and their harrowing tale (complete with shocking video). Larry Elder hosts.
* Ch. 4’s Sue Simmons featured in the premiere issue of New York Home magazine (this spring). Editor Jason Kontos decorated Sue’s apartment in the ’80s.
* Out on DVD (Warner Home Video): First seasons of “Full House,” “Murphy Brown,” “Night Court.”
* Pet Peeve #303: E-mail slanguage. It’s “you,” not “u” – and last I checked, “cuz” was a hillbilly term for “cousin,” not shorthand for “because.” Stop the madness.
