Tom, Jay & Jacko

Jay Leno, who made hay joking about the Michael Jackson molestation case, will come face-to-face with Jacko’s lawyer when Tom Mesereau visits tomorrow’s “Tonight Show” (11:35 p.m./Ch. 4). It’ll be the first time Mesereau and Leno have squared off since Leno was called to testify in the case May 24.

There’s a lot of history between Leno and Mesereau, who tried to get a gag order barring Leno from making Jacko jokes while the trial was ongoing. It was eventually ruled that Leno could joke about the case, provided he didn’t joke about his subpoena as a defense witness. Mesereau alleged that Jacko’s accuser called Leno several years ago asking for money to help pay for his cancer treatments, and was coached during the call by his mother .
