JON Stewart is branching out from Comedy Central.

After years of putting his signature spin on “The Daily Show,” he has signed with the History channel to produce a show called “The Naturalized,” a two-hour special about the process of becoming a US citizen, reports Broadcasting & Cable.

It’s possible that Stewart himself will appear in it as well as produce the show through his company.

History is also giving comic Lewis Black his own show, “Surviving the Holidays with Lewis Black,” a look at how seasonal events like office parties and conspicuous consumption pervert the meaning of the holidays. —
