Study: Tiger ad is icky
Tiger Woods’ return to advertising didn’t make the cut.
The Nike ad, with the voice of the golfer’s dead dad, freaked out a focus group that summed it up in one word: “Ick.”
The focus group found the use of the late Earl Woods’ voice to be in bad taste.
One person wrote: “That made me actively uncomfortable — it capitalized far too much on somebody’s personal life for the sake of selling something. Ick.”
