TELLING TALES
When Tammy Hall was growing up in Clarksville, Tenn., her father would gather her and her 10 brothers and sisters around him and tell them stories. Wonderful stories.
“When he told us about Br’er Rabbit, it was as if he were embodying the spirit of Br’er Rabbit,” says Hall, now living in Brooklyn and a storyteller, too. “So storytelling is in my blood!”
Hear her weave stories about Anansi the Spider, Silly Jack, Boucki and Malice, and other “trickster” tales from around the world tomorrow, at 2 and 3 p.m., at Lefferts Homestead Children’s Historic House in Prospect Park. Admission is free; enter the park at the Willink entrance near Flatbush Avenue and Empire Boulevard. For more information, call (718) 789-2822.
