TONIGHT’S first episode of “The Agency” – the CBS series about the Central Intelligence Agency – was not available for preview due to the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11.

The show replaces the series’ planned opening episode, which was pulled because CBS felt the subject matter would be inappropriate in the wake of the attacks. In the original premiere, terrorists – identified in the script as operatives of Osama bin Laden – plot to bomb Harrod’s, the London department store. In the show, the plot is foiled.

The replacement episode, which was not finished in time to be made available to TV critics, will air tonight at 10 on Ch. 2.
