TEXAS HUBBY KILLER CAST
ELIZABETH Peña, who starred in the hit movie “Rush Hour,” will play a Texas woman who gained national fame when she ran over and killed her cheating husband with a Mercedes-Benz.
Filming has already begun on the the movie, to be called “Suburban Madness,” set to air on CBS next fall.
Peña – who also starred in the cable TV series “Resurrection Blvd.” – plays Clara Harris, who was found guilty of first degree murder last year and sentenced to 20 years in prison after a televised trial that was followed by millions on Court TV.
The infamous murder case began when Harris hired private investigator Bobbi Bacha – to be played by “Once and Again” star Sela Ward – to spy on her husband, David.
In the process of recording David’s infidelity, Bacha ended up taping her own client as she ran over her husband, a video that became well-known as it was repeatedly played on cable news channels and news magazine shows.
