‘The Beautiful Life” flopped on the CW, but Ashton Kutcher is hoping that it gets a second wind on the Internet.

The series about the modeling industry, starring Mischa Barton, was canceled after just two airings due to bad ratings, but executive producer Kutcher is rescuing it by putting all five taped episodes on YouTube.

The first three episodes will be available today, with two more episodes premiering on Monday.

“What we feel like we’re doing is creating, in some ways, an industry first. A show that couldn’t find its legs on television, we believe can find its legs on the Web,” Kutcher told Reuters.

While the first two episodes of the series attracted 1.5 million and 1 million viewers apiece — paltry for a network TV show — those numbers would make it a success on the Web.
