There’s a whole lot of belchin’ going on in the macho-laden Belgian black comedy “The Misfortunates.”

Meet the Strobbes, a messed-up family of six: 13-year-old Gunther lives with his father, granny and three uncles (one named Petrol, another Beefcake).

Gunther dreams of becoming a writer, but he’s not getting any support from his brawling, cursing elders. All they care about is beer, naked bike riding and bawdy songs.

The acting is super — these guys know how to be sweet and disgusting — and the story provides its share of laughs. But after a while, the one-note movie, directed by Felix van Groeningen, grows tiresome. The sappy finale doesn’t help.
