Host without the most — the 2020 Oscars may be host-less once again.

Last year, after would-be host Kevin Hart, 40, was disgraced for refusing to apologize for a history of controversial homophobic tweets, the show proceeded without its typical MC. The ceremony was a surprising success, with a ratings boost and critical praise.

The notoriously-bloated telecast shaved off 30 minutes without a host in 2019, clocking in at 3 hours and 23 minutes, compared to 2018’s 3 hours and 53 minutes. This raised its ever-dwindling viewership by an impressive 12 percent.

So, naturally, the Academy is looking to replicate that formula. According to Deadline, they’re looking for several big stars to have comedy monologues and showcases onstage in between the award presentations. In 2019, the ceremony opened with crowd-pleasers and former “Saturday Night Live” stars Tina Fey, Amy Poehler and Maya Rudolph, with a musical medley from Queen.

This year’s version of the Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper steamy and rumor-igniting “Shallow” duet could be “Rocketman” star Taron Egerton and Elton John.

The nominations for 2020 will be announced Monday, Jan. 13 — but if the buzz is right, this year’s race will likely include Quentin Tarantino’s Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio-starring “Once Upon a Time in…Hollywood” and “Marriage Story” starring Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson.

The Oscars will air Feb. 9, 2020. on ABC.
