The internet just told Kylie to go suck an egg.
A simple photo of a single brown egg has overtaken the youngest Kardashian-Jenner as the most-liked Instagram post of all time, with more than 27 million likes and counting â and setting a world record.
The photo to beat was an image of newborn Stormi, originally posted on Feb. 6, 2018, with just 18.3 million likes. The âgoldenâ egg, uploaded to the Instagram account world_record_egg on Jan. 5, took less than two weeks to surpass the model and lipstick mogul.
âLetâs set a world record together and get the most liked post on Instagram. Beating the current world record held by Kylie Jenner (18 million)! We got this,â the top post reads.
This past Sunday, the so-called Egg Gangâs post trounced the record in a finish-line sprint â jumping from 14 million to 18 in just 3 hours. Kylieâs post managed to garner an extra 100,000 over the weekend as well in a fan effort to crush the egg. The humble egg is also the only non-human to make Instagramâs top 20, sitting among the worldâs most loved celebrities such as Selena Gomez, Cristiano Ronaldo and, of course, the Queen herself, Beyonce.
Anyone in Kylieâs camp is surely walking on eggshells today â but she appears to have a sense of humor about it all. She posted this Instagram video, saying, âTake that little eggâ before cracking it onto some hot pavement.
