TV TICKER
Off the air
Each local TV station will be off the air for a few minutes tonight between the hours of 2 to 5 a.m.
Why? It’s all part of an FCC license-renewal requirement implemented by the TVAIC (Television All Industry Committee), which has alerted local stations to its shutdown plans.
A TVAIC spokesman said the shutdown will affect each station (Chs. 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11 and 13) for only a few minutes at a time, in order to test the stations’ signals.
