Divorce parties are all the rage, with companies like The Divorce Party Planner doing so well there’s a book by the same title. Never married talk show host Tyra Banks throws one for her audience – which will be comprised entirely of divorcees – on Tuesday morning. On stage, Banks welcomes a group of recently divorced women who were in bad or unhappy marriages and helps them deal with issues like self-esteem, dating after marriage, dealing with their ex moving on and regaining their lives. Banks surprises one divorcee with a head-to-toe makeover from Robert Verdi and another with a $5,000 check to help her get her life started again. She also empowers them to move on, be independent and then celebrates them for getting back on track.
