VELVET Revolver, the supergroup with Scott Weiland (Stone Temple Pilots) and ex-Guns N’ Roses bandmates Slash, Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum, rocked its way to the peak of Billboard’s Top 200 Albums charts.

Its “Contraband” album, pumped up by the single “Slither,” sold 256,300 copies its first week out, according to Nielsen/Soundscan.

311‘s “Greatest Hits ’93-’03” made its debut at No. 7, and the “2004 Warped Tour Compilation” debuted at No. 8.
