‘The Voice” shouted down “The X Factor” in their first head-to-head battle Wednesday, pulling in 10.9 million viewers (8-9 p.m.) to beat the season premiere of “The X Factor” (7.7 million viewers) with new judges Britney Spears and Demi Lovato.

“X Factor’s” numbers rose to 9.7 million viewers at 9. It also won in adults 18-49 but was beaten in total viewers by “America’s Got Talent” (11 million).
