Kate Walsh might depart ABC’s “Private Practice” next season — meaning the show could continue without her.
Walsh, who plays Dr. Addison Montgomery on the “Grey’s Anatomy” spinoff, is “poised” to leave the series once her contract expires after 13 episodes, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
While “Practice” has only been renewed for that “baker’s dozen,” ABC has said it could run longer — possibly for a full 22-episode season — if it performs strongly.
“Practice” has already lost co-star Tim Daly — who announced he won’t return for the show’s sixth season — and executive producer Craig Turk, who left for a job at CBS.
Walsh has played Montgomery for all five seasons of “Practice” after originating the role on “Grey’s.”
