IN what promises to be a welcome but brief bit of insanity, Robin Williams returns to Broadway this spring for a limited run. Very limited – just five performances of the one-man show he’s been taking around the country.

“Weapons of Self-Destruction,” beginning April 28 at the Neil Simon Theatre, is a much-belated encore to his 2002 show, which went on to immortality (and several Emmy nods) as an HBO special.

In “Weapons,” he touches on everything from politics to rehab and divorce, with some personalized riffs for each place in which he has performed it (“West Virginia – that’s Virginia without a dental plan”).

Tickets – $70, $100 and $150 – go on sale Sunday

at the Neil Simon box office, Ticketmaster and robinwilliams.com.
