With their distinctively auto-tuned, vocoder-filtered vocals, Akon and T-Pain are the masters of a musical sub-genre that we like to call “cyborg soul.” This animated short is based on the amusing, though nightmarish, premise that the two R&B robots sound like that all the time. And just like he does on Akon’s hit “I Wanna Love You,” Snoop Dogg shows up out of nowhere.

Who would think to take an 8-year-old iMac commercial starring Jeff Goldblum and slow it down by half? One simple editing tweak and the actor, with his already disjointed and staccato delivery, suddenly sounds like your whiskey-soaked uncle at Thanksgiving, waxing poetic about the Internet and the color beige.
