From “Will & Grace” and “Queer Eye” to “Boy Meets Boy,” it seem that television is having a love affair with gay-themed programs. To that end, we updated some of TV’s most beloved series to fit in with today’s trends.

The Andy Griffith Show – Sheriff Taylor resists Barney’s demand to raid a leather bar in Mt. Pilot; Aunt Bea explains to Opie why she never married.

I Love Lucy – Ethel is slapped with a restraining order after she’s accused of stalking chorus girls at the Tropicana; Fred still can’t find work.

The Beverly Hillbillies – Miss Hathaway, to no one’s surprise, admits that she was using Jethro to get to Ellie Mae; Mr. Drysdale is blackmailed into sponsoring a float in the Halloween Parade.

My Three Sons – Ernie reveals to Chip and Rob why his parents left him at the Douglas household when they left town; Uncle Charlie’s “navy friend” pays a visit.

Lassie – Lassie comes to the rescue after homophobic bullies throw Timmy in a well.

Gilligan’s Island – Years of isolation and depravation lead to homosexual encounters, including the Professor (italic) and (end italic) Mary Ann; the Skipper is suspected when Mrs. Howell’s chiffon hostess pajamas go missing.

Dragnet – Left unattended in the bathtub while her homosexual guardians are downstairs smoking marijuana, a miniature poodle nearly drowns.

The Flintstones – Bedrock is rocked by rumors after the Great Gazoo unexpectedly appears in Barney and Wilma’s bedroom.

Bonanza – After Hop Sing retires, The Ponderosa is turned topsy-turvy by the new cook, Todd (Harvey Fierstein), who introduces the Cartwrights to hearts of palm, finger sandwiches, mimosas – and his bunkmate, Roger.
